Fab Mascara for Lower Lashes and Affordable!

Hello everyone,

Thank you all so much for supporting my blog, and welcome to my newbie followers :-)

I wanted to share with you a mascara that I think works brilliantly for the lower lashes as well as the upper lashes, that just so happens to be affordable, in fact it's from Maybellline.  Which one you ask?

Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Mascara

Not only does it lift, separate, lengthen and add volume but it's shape makes it perfect for the bottom lashes.  As you will see from the photos below the wand is thin and curved, I can't believe how ergonomically designed it is for the lower lashes and currently costs £8.19 from Boots.com.

The only thing negative I would say is that when I apply it to my top lashes it's not the most comfortable wand to use, despite it being thin it feels a bit scratchy, nothing major but I thought I should mention it.  It's a fab mascara and the one I have been using as a day time mascara for the last month or two.

Ta very much for reading.

  1. Good tip but I personally hate all of Maybelline's mascaras so I will offer a tip for you in return. There really is no need to buy a separate mascara for the lower lashes (it's a waste of money in my opinion) for I would suggest you buy small disposal mascara wands from Sally Beauty (or your beauty supply or even eBay) and I just use my regular mascara and presto -- I have my own lower lash mascara which is effective, hygeneic and cost effective. You can wash the disposable wand like you would your makeup brushes and it will typically last a year or long - in the last 5 years, I used approx. 1 disposable mascara wand every 18 months or so.

I hope this tip is helpful and thanks for sharing. Blessings.

  2. OR you can just keep the wand from this mascara, clean it off and now you can use it regular mascara and forgo buying disposable mascara wands.

  3. Hi Niki,

I'm the same as you, I wouldn't pay for a separate mascara from my lower lashes either. I always use whatever mascara I have for my top lashes but this one is perfectly shaped to do the bottom lashes.

Great tips thanks, I'll definitely be keeping this mascsara wand :-)
