Autumnal Look - Nars Surabaya Duo

Hello my lovelies,

Here are some pics of an every day autumnal look I created with the Nars Surabaya Duo.

I filmed a video creating this look for YouTube, if you would like to see it please click here.

Products used:

Face
MUFE Face & Body 18, Nars Loose Powder in Mountain, Eve Pearl Salmon concealer - Tan,
Benefit powderflage, Nars Casino Bronzer and Lovejoy blush

Eyes
UDPP, MUFE Face & Body 18, Benefit powderflage, YSL Eyebrow Pencil,
Nars Surabaya eyeshadow duo, Mac Grand Entrance and Saddle, Eyeko Mascara,
UD 24/7 glide on liner in Whiskey and Zero

Lips
Mac Cork lipliner, Boots No7 Moisture Drench lipstick in Golden Rose, Barry M lipgloss

I'm not sure if the pics or video does justice to just how gorgeous these colours against my brown eyes, they really flatter my eye colouring, the Nars Surabaya duo is such a great duo for me, money well spent!

To amp this up for a night time look, all you need is black liner on both lash and waterlines, smoke out to your hearts content and you will have the classic, black fading to brown "smokin" (that always makes me think of Jim Carrey in the Mask) evening look!

As you will see this collection has Nars' first ever eyeshadow trio. For the new blush they did not repeat the etching that was on the Douceur blush in the previous collection, which is a shame as embellishments go I quite like it.

According to the amazing Karlasugar blog, Sex Appeal is a nearly invisible pale pink (and is a permanent addition to the line and Little Darling lipstick is an extremely sheer grey pink-beige.  This makes it quite easy for me to avoid temptation as I don't think they would do much for my skin tone or pigmented lips.

See anything you like?

My Nars blushes swatched

Hello folks,

Like everyone I'm always searching for swatches online of products before I buy and hoping that I come across some that are on a similar skin tone to mine, so with that in mind I filmed a video swatching my Nars blushes, which are Douceur, Gina, Lovejoy, Orgasm, Cannes, Torrid, Albatross, Sin, Casino, Taj Mahal.

If you would like to see my video please click here, below I have posted stills of the swatches from my video.

From left to right: Douceur, Gina, Lovejoy, Orgasm, Cannes layered with Orgasm on top, Torrid.

From left to right: Taj Mahal heavy swatch, Casino bronzer, Sin, Albatross highlighter.

From left to right: Taj Mahal blended, Casino bronzer, Sin, Albatross highlighter.

I really do hope this post helps others to get a good idea of how these blushes might work on their skin tones.  For reference in foundations I'm Mac NC44, Nars Sheer Glow Cadiz, Make Up For Ever (MUFE) HD #173 and MUFE Face and Body #18.

Thanks for stopping by!

Andrea Fulerton Trio Colour Layering System

Hi there,

So I've started to buy and enjoy nail colours that I've never thought about wearing before and my newest addition, is an Andrea Fulerton Trio purchased from Superdrug cost £7.99.  I posted a vid featuring this nail product and others, if you'd like to see it click here.

According to Superdrugs' website these polishes were developed by Andrea Fulerton who is an established, highly respected and renowned artistic nail designer, at the top of her field and has twice been voted British Nail Professional of the Year

It is in fact 2 colours that you can wear separately or layer to create a 3rd colour or effect. I purchased one called Foxy Lady (apparently Nigella Lawson named these as she Andrea Fulertons' friend and client), here is are some pics;-

I have on the bronze colour underneath which is pretty opaque and then the two tone bluey/grey on top and love the results, kind of makes for a golden two tone plummy bluey colour, obviously I'm just making up colour names here!  Let's just say it's a very unique colour and I'm loving it.  Dries reasonably quickly too.

There are 16 trios which means you can create upto 48 shades, and for £7.99 I have 3 lovely nail colours, not bad, although it's worth noting that the total amount is 8.8mls and most full size nail varnishes are 10mls I believe.

Mac Venomous Villains & Viva Glam Cyndi Lipglass

Hello and many thanks for following my humble wee blog, much appreciated:-

Below are swatches and pic of me wearing Bite of an Apple blush, a lovely coral matte pink shade that gives a beautiful healthy glow to my cheeks, for reference I'm matched to Mac NC44 and wear Nar Sheer Glow in Cadiz.

Left Mac Salsa Rose, Right Bite of an Apple

Top Mac Salsa Rose, Bottom Bite of an Apple

Next to show you lovelies is the Formidable Nail Lacquer which reminds me of Mac's blue brown pigment, this is the first time I've ever worn a shade like this, it's quite daring for me and takes a bit of getting used to but I really enjoy the two tone effect, hopefully you can see this effect in the picture.

Lastly, Viva Glam Cyndi lipglass, gorgeous colour, very opaque, a little goes a long way and it feels moisturising too, I noticed it wears well on me and when it does start to fade it does so evenly.

Viva Glam Cyndi Lipglass

I'm wearing Bite of an Apple blush and Viva Glam Cyndi lipgass with no base

I didn't get much from the collection but what I did pick up I've very happy with.  If you would like to see my YouTube vid about these products, click here.

Thanks for reading, hope this post has been of some help to you.
